January concert celebrates sacred music
A spectacular celebration of sacred music by a conglomeration of Barrington churches is coming to Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, at Route 59 at 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Now in its third year, the festival features a variety of sacred music styles from the participating churches as well as massed choir pieces directed by festival founder Dr. James Skomer of Salem United Methodist Church. This year's massed anthems include: "Laudate Dominum," with soloist Colleen Bolthouse, "Precious Lord," "Take My Hand," "All My Trials, Lord," and "Elijah Rock."
