USG predicts $18 mil cost in closures

USG Corp. said costs to close wallboard manufacturing lines and shutter 31 centers at its L&W Supply unit will be about $18 million.

The line closures are part of its previously announced plan to reduce capacity, the Chicago-based company said today in a regulatory filing.
