Do you like the idea of carpool lanes on the tollway system?

Today's your chance to opine on the subject during a hearing from 2 to 4 p.m. at the NIU Hoffman Estates campus, 5555 Trillium Blvd., Hoffman Estates.

The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority will hold a forum on its plans to create "green" lanes on I-294, I-355, the Jane Addams and Reagan Memorial tollways.

The agency wants feedback on its $1.8 billion Congestion Relief Phase Two plan that involves the green lanes and interchange construction at I-294 and I-57 in the south suburbs and Route 53/I-290 and I-90.
