Fight sidelines Illini RB LeShoure
CHAMPAIGN -- Team officials say freshman Illinois running back Mikel LeShoure is sidelined with a broken jaw he suffered in an incident with a teammate.
Illinois spokeswoman Cassie Arner said Monday LeShoure will miss Saturday's game against Western Michigan and will be "week to week" after that.
She wouldn't release details of Saturday night's off-campus incident and didn't identify the other player involved. She said he wasn't injured.
Coach Ron Zook says he's "disappointed" the incident happened and any discipline of the players will be handled internally.
LeShoure is fourth on the Illini with 126 yards on 35 carries. He has one touchdown.
He rushed for 11 yards on five carries in last weekend's 27-24 victory over Iowa.
