Get your greedy hands off our money
It is no secret that America has been running on the equity of our parents and grandparents.
It is much like what happens to many children who take over the family business only to take whatever assets there are and sell off the rest to the highest bidder. America has done the same thing with the equity from our parents. I think that is shameless.
Our government has spent way too much money, and that debt will be and is starting to come back to bite us in the rear, to put it mildly.
All one has to do is look around and see how many state and local governments are not only broke, but are in need of a bailout in their own way. This has to stop, and it has to stop now.
We cannot afford any new programs, especially some of what our government is proposing such as a construction bill comparable to FDR's plan. We just can't afford to build another Hoover Dam or national highway system.
The ones we have are in bad shape, and we are not fixing them.
What our government needs to do, both state and federal, is be realistic and quit adding to the deficit and stop squandering our country's assets away.
This is a great nation, but it can only be the greatest nation if our government gets its greedy hands off our money and uses what it actually has in a wise and conservative manner.
