Some questions need to be asked
I guess the Daily Herald is like the rest of the media. You have given Mr Obama a complete pass and looked past the realities and questions and fell in love with the notion of change and hope. I have the questions that no one wants to answer or even ask .
.) When did Barack ever a back a reform candidate, even a democrat reform candidate?
.) What did he ever do or say to eliminate or uncover corruption in Illinois, possibly the most corrupt state in the union.
.) When unlike McCain, did he ever vote against his party in Illinois or in the Senate?
.) Why not examine the simple fact that he has never been a man who brought both sides together, even the deadlocked democrat governor, democrat house and democrat senate in Illinois, which are in chaos, so how would he deal with Iran and Russia? 5.) Why not acknowledge that one of his many pork projects went to his wife's employer and her salary then went from 125K to almost 300k?
.) What would have happened had his vote against the Surge been successful?
.) Did he not support the ban on hand guns for citizens in Chicago leaving them defenseless against criminals as the death toll has increased?
.) What tax increases did he vote against?
.) He changed his position from the left of Hillary in the primary to the middle (against the surge, for tax increases, against FISA, against public financing). What does he really believe?
.) Why is his lack of military experience not of paramount importance, while we are engaged in a world wide war against terrorism, especially since he was wrong about the surge?
.) Why have you not reported that he had supported the most radical abortion votes including voting against parental notification and the Born Alive Act, despite the video showing him voting against the Born Alive Act because it would require an additional doctor.
.) Why does the media refused to discuss his ties to Daley machine and that the state has the highest gas taxes, sales taxes, real estate taxes, pension fund deficits and Chicago was recently cited as one of the dirtiest (non-green) cities in the country? And that Mr. Axelrod, the Chicago machine campaign manager, is his manager.
.) What did he accomplish as a “community organizer”?
.) Why are the facts that he work for Acorn, paid $820,000 campaign money to an Acorn affiliate, and after Acorn members admitted they illegally registered voters, not relevant?
.) Is not his decision to give up government monies for public financing the main reason he is winning by outspending his opponent and acting just like an old tie Chicago poll?
.) How did he not know his mentors, (he said so in 2004) Wright and Pfleger were radicals and hate filled after 20 years?
.) What did he and Bill Ayres do with the monies at the Arrenberg Foundation and what did they accomplish at the Arrenberg foundation, since this was his only real executive experience?
.) Where are the records of his Columbia, Occidental and Harvard years, and why does no one from his 2 years at Columbia remember him?
.) How did he get in and who helped him get into Harvard?
.)What has he accomplished in his elective office compared to Sarah Palin or John McCain?
