Learn about hospice volunteering

Anyone who is interested in volunteering can learn about volunteerism at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois during a special Recruiting Opportunity and Volunteer In Service. Set from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 22, the program will take place at the hospice agency's Barrington office, located at 410 S. Hager Ave., in Barrington. Breakfast will be served.

Interested people should contact Janice Farrell, HNI Volunteer Coordinator, at (847) 381.5599, ext. 219, or JFarrell@HospiceAnswers.org to register.

HNI's volunteers are valuable. The agency's nearly 200 volunteers offer their time in various capacities, from patient care, pediatric patient care and vigil volunteers to drivers for LIFT patients, office assistance and Friends of Hospice special event volunteers.
