Glenbard East halls will resound with music
Glenbard East High School will present the family classic "The Sound Of Music" at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, Nov. 14-15, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at the school, 1014 S. Main St., Lombard.
The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is based on the true story of the singing von Trapp family and their flight to escape the Third Reich in Austria. Numerous students are involved in the Glenbard East production, including assistant directors Mike McClinton and John Vales with dance captain Paulina Pahl.
The main cast includes Julija Bozenovaite, Kara Barrios, Jamie Lemens, Becki Blumer, Sharron Palm, Nick Young, Eric Ianelli, Jocelyn Garibay, Lisa Lindquist, David Bacon, Olivia Guido, Anna Segatti, Ben Jungblut, Dri Christides, Robert Leahy, Daniel Judd, Colleen Kelly, Nick Bryant, Elise Christen and Leonard Sierawsky.
The Nazi ensemble members are Nick Bryant, Daniel Judd, Christian O'Kelley, Casey Cardinal, Rob Kaylor, Leonard Sierawsky, Andy Hilligoss, Marquis Mason, Ben Slabik, Eric Ianelli and Joe Zisk.
The nun's chorus includes Jenna Armstrong, Allison Frazier, Jennie Mueller, Kathy Baldyga, Emily Gardner, Kelsey O'Kelley, September Blue, Jocelyn Garibay, Paulina Pahl, Anne Brillantes, Tina Goings, Gina Palm, Elise Christen, Colleen Kelly, Claire Perez, Dri Christides, Kelsey Kott, Vanessa Radosza, Kim Cooper, Janine Means, Erin Ritchie, Destiny Davis, Xochitl Melo-Benitez, Tori Rocco, Melanie Espinos, Kat Monk and Kim Turner.
