What does U-46 offer senior citizens?

As a senior citizen I have a couple questions that are on our minds.

Question 1. Does the U-46 school board represent all the citizens of this school district or the Elgin Teachers Association?

Question 2. Does the school board give any forethought as to the effect of continual requests for more property taxes on seniors? (Or do they even care? It appears they don't.)

Question 3. Is it not true that 80 percent of any dollar amount you are presented with will go to teachers' retirement?

Question 4. Is the education system aware of the fact that this same system is creating a class system of citizens within the school district? Or do you even care?

Question 5. Based on test scores, requesting more tax dollars doesn't improve the students' learning level. Why don't you focus on that first? Show an improvement in that area, live within your budget and then ask those seniors and others to support a property tax.
