Briefs: Damage crimes probed
Arlington Heights police are investigating a rash of criminal damage that occurred to property on the 700 block of South Burton Drive. In the past 11 months, 12 different crimes were reported to police. The type and amount of damage has varied. Anyone with information should call (847) 590-STOP. Callers are guaranteed anonymity and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Golf Nation in Palatine will host a 24-hour Golf-a-Thon fundraiser benefiting Journeys from PADS to HOPE, a group that helps the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. From 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, to 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, a $25 donation will get you six holes of virtual golf in the 25,000-square-foot facility, snacks, music and a gift bag. Hoffman seniors lunch
The Harvest Luncheon for senior citizens in Hoffman Estates has been rescheduled for noon Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre, 2401 W. Higgins Road. Tickets are $18 and include food and a performance by an 18-piece orchestra. To register, write the name, address and phone number of all attendees on a sheet of paper and mail it to the Commission for Senior Citizens c/o Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169.
