Obama doesn't show respect for flag
One of my earliest memories of school was learning the Pledge of Allegiance. I remember standing by my desk, facing the flag and proudly holding my hand over my heart as the class repeated the words we had learned, knowing we were doing something important, but understanding its meaning with the heart of a child.
In high school, I began to understand what the flag really meant to our country. I realized it was more than just a piece of fabric that represented all our states. It was our country, it was our honor.
Our flag is the soul of our nation. It is our common thread. Wherever you may be in the world, the sight of the American flag gives hope that freedom lives, that democracy exists and that America is strong.
McCain has served under our flag, he has been tried and tested. Obama has not. Obama has even refused to wear the American flag lapel pin that most candidates wear. Obama stated that "I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism." He went onto say "I'm less concerned with what you're wearing on your lapel than what's in your heart." (Then at other times, he has worn it)
Obama also removed the American flag from his airplane and created his "own" logo! Pictures of Obama show he does not hold his hand over his heart during the "Star Spangled Banner." Obama seems to have a disdain for our flag.
Obama's connections to Wright, Ayres, Rezko, are enough to make my choice for McCain an easy one. Obama's disregard for the flag is unacceptable. I ask all voters to please research Obama's voting record and his personal and political associations. Don't just believe the media hype. Be sure that this is the man you truly believe will keep America strong, safe and free. I for one, don't.
