Thanks to helpers on campaign trail
In the past 16 months it has been an honor to meet and represent my many supporters in the race for the 50th District state representative seat. Over and over again, you would amaze me with your kindness, courage and dedication in the belief that I would best represent the needs of the 50th District in Springfield.
Although the results of the race are not what we had hoped for, the effect of all your hard work will remain. In a traditionally opposing district, we received more votes than 37 of the 56 contested state representative race winners. We garnered over 30,000 votes and came in at 39 percent, with about a $12,000 budget. You also helped me hand deliver over 50,000 pieces of literature, marched in parades or cheered from the side, contributed what you could, and listened to my policy plans with interest and integrity.
From the grass roots level, work was done with a laptop in my kitchen, and multiple children bouncing around in the house. So, I would also like to thank my family for their patience and support. This has given me the opportunity to further teach my children the importance of duty to their country. A duty I will continue with as well.
I want to thank you again for the privilege of hearing your voice. Your energy, faith and devotion will prevail in lighting our country and indeed our world.
