Chihuahua snatched in Buffalo Grove

Police believes coyotes were the culprits in the disappearance of a Chihuahua from a Buffalo Grove yard Monday.

Police said a resident on Blackthorn Drive reported that she let the dog outside into her unfenced yard without a leash just before midnight.

She said she believed a pack of wolves snatched the Chihuahua and ran off, but officers said the animals were more likely coyotes.

Police sent a notice out to residents about the incident but could not be reached for further details.
