Judge who allegedly used racial slurs resigns
HOMEWOOD -- A Cook County judge who allegedly used racial slurs after a minor traffic accident has submitted her resignation.
Marcella Lipinski's resignation will be effective on the last day of December.
Police say the 66-year-old judge in the Bridgeview courthouse was driving on Nov. 5 when another vehicle hit her car as she was stopped at a red light in the south suburb of Homewood.
Police cited her for disorderly conduct after she allegedly was belligerent and used racial slurs.
