Santa arrives: Santa has been waiting all year to meet with area children. Santa will begin his free visits at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, in Center Court through Christmas Eve. There is no cost to visit with Santa Claus. All children who say hello and whisper their wishes to Santa receive a free coloring book and 20 percent off coupon at Gymboree. A photographer is available to take high quality digital photos of children with Santa Claus at a nominal cost. Santa is available during all mall hours, except for his special breaks.
Giving Tree: Spring Hill Mall proudly celebrates 22 years of its successful community program, The Giving Tree, this holiday season. The greater Fox Valley area community can continue its generous holiday spirit of helping local children, families, and senior citizens with special needs from 15 participating local area nonprofit agencies.
The 12-foot tall Giving Tree is in the Macy's Wing Nov. 22 through Dec. 24. Ornament gift tags will be displayed on the Giving Tree with names of area children, families and seniors with their special Christmas requests. Names and gift requests are submitted by agencies. Shoppers are invited to visit the Giving Tree, select a gift tag, and purchase a requested gift. Shoppers can look at all of the gift tags and read the personal requests. Most people choose a gift tag that represents someone special to them. A person on the gift tag might remind someone of their own grandparent or someone the same age as their own child. Local businesses choose Giving Tree gift tags as a company project.

Pet Night: Don't leave that special furry friend out of the mix this holiday. Every Monday, Nov. 24-Dec. 15, pet lovers and their furry companions can take their photo with Santa Claus in Center Court. Special costumes will be available to decorate your pet including Santa hats, plaid bow ties and tuxedo scarves. Don't miss out on the chance to commemorate the holidays with your special four-legged friend.
Black Friday: Starting at 6 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, shoppers can get a jump start on their holiday purchases and have a chance to win big prizes in the process. Shoppers can win prizes "on the spot" by interacting with mall prize teams who will be located throughout the mall. Prize teams will be distributing prizes such as a: $5 Discover GGP gift card, eco-friendly shopping bag, sampling bag and retail sales offer sheets. Face-to-face interactions will include fun quizzes, holiday trivia, sing a song, and sharing your favorite day after Thanksgiving traditions at Spring Hill Mall.
