Man charged in bar shooting arrested in Illinois

KENOSHA, Wis. -- Police in Wisconsin say they've caught up with a man wanted for a fatal shooting outside a Kenosha bar at an Illinois hospital.

David Hall remains under police guard at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Ill. Hall is charged with the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Kenya McEwen outside the Three Sisters Cafe last May.

Kenosha police say Hall went to the hospital Nov. 16 after he had been beaten. Once the 33-year-old is medically cleared, Hall is expected to be transferred to the Cook County Jail to await extradition to Wisconsin.

A criminal complaint charging Hall with first-degree intentional homicide says at least one witness saw McEwen punch Hall in the face before Hall pulled out a gun and shot McEwen in the chest.
