Keep someone warm with Mitten Tree donation

Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Jaycees have begun their "Mitten Project." The Jaycees are sponsoring a Christmas tree, decorated by the students of St. John's Lutheran School, at the annual Lake in the Hills Festival of Trees celebration. The "Mitten Tree" is the symbol of the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce collection drive. People are asked to donate mittens, hats, scarves, coats and other winter wear for those less fortunate in our area. Donated items do not have to be new, just gently used and clean. All winter wear will be donated to area organizations such as Home of the Sparrow and Turning Point.

Drop off points the Chamber of Commerce and Brunswick Zone-Algonquin, 2075 E. Algonquin Road, bring in "winter wear" and receive a coupon for a free game of bowling.
