Political sign rules:
The City of Geneva reminds residents and political candidates that political signs can only be placed on private property. Placement of any sign on public property or right of way without prior approval of city council is strictly prohibited, and such signs will be removed. As a rule of thumb, the public right of way is that area between the edge of pavement and the public walk. For more information, call building commissioner Chuck Lencioni at (630) 262-0280.
Chorus members needed:
The Elgin Children's Chorus is looking for new members 7 to 16. Chorus members come from more than 55 different schools in 18 school districts. The chorus, celebrating its 23rd year, rehearses Monday nights at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. To schedule an audition, call 847-931-SING or e-mail akepley@elgin.edu.
