Are solutions in Democrats' interest?

Our country faces many problems - war, terrorism, financial, employment, immigration - - which require legislative and political action.

The previous collapse of the deal to address financial woes, which many House Republicans and 98 Democrats voted against, shows the lack of leadership of Nancy Pelosi and her cadre'.

In stead of laying the blame on the Republicans, why couldn't she find 12 votes among those 98 Democrats?

This made me think, with an election coming up, is it really in Ms. Pelosi's and the Democrat's interest to address high gas prices, financial issues, etc., or does it better serve them to leave these issues open and politically position them as the president's fault? Think about it.

Watch the clip of Ms. Pelosi's diatribe on Sept. 29. You decide.

I for one, would not put it past the Democrats to perpetrate and even increase recent hardships to advance their political goals.
