• Herlindo Jaramillo-Vences, 25, 7182 Lyndon Lane, Apt. 1N, Rosemont, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Oct. 21 and charged with resisting arrest, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations after a traffic stop at his apartment building, police said. According to reports, he refused to stop and led the officer on a vehicle chase from Touhy Avenue and Mannheim Road to the Lyndon Lane address. He ran from his car, and the officer chased him on foot through two alleys and finally caught him, reports added. His Skokie court date was not available.

• Burglars stole a laptop computer, digital camera, gold rings and necklaces and a camcorder between 8 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Oct. 21 out of an apartment on the 100 block of West Dover Drive, police said. There was no sign of forced entry, reports added. Value was estimated at $4,886.

• Vandals scratched the passenger's side and soft cloth top, removed four tire air valve covers and a silver Toyota emblem, and broke the rear radio antenna in half between 11 p.m. Oct. 19 and 9 a.m. Oct. 20 on a 2004 Toyota Solara parked on the 100 block of North East River Road, police said. Damage was estimated at $1,530.
