When Oberweis speaks, it makes sense
I attended the debate between Bill Foster and Jim Oberweis today in St. Charles. Without even getting into the content, I can tell you that we have two completely different candidates and their mannerisms speak volumes to me. Jim Oberweis sat straight and composed the entire two hours of the debate making eye contact with audience members. Bill Foster kept slumping backward in his chair as if we were boring him.
Mr. Foster had to read all his responses. When asked a question, he went right to his notes without looking up and "umming" his responses even though he was reading them. Which begs the question, how did he have all of the answers written down when the questions were supposed to be spontaneous from the audience? I was so unimpressed with the Democratic candidate that I can't help but wonder if Kane County has gone mad nominating him in the first place. The depth of his answers were minimal and factually incorrect. I will say about Jim Oberweis however that his voice commanded everyone's attention and kept it when he spoke. His answers were straight, factual, common sense and hopeful. I can feel the sense of urgency he has when he conveys his passion to resolve today's issues.
I implore all you constituents to choose carefully on Nov. 4. Our lives are dependent upon it. Mr. Oberweis "gets it." He's a no-nonsense individual with a history of financial and entrepreneurial success. Mr. Foster is a scientist. He made sure to relay that point many times throughout the debate. He even actually had the audacity to state that he relies on facts only and NOT on ideologies. Well Mr. Foster, all I can say is thank God George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin (among others) relied on ideology to create the most lucrative, successful, independent and blessed nation on earth!
