Buffalo Grove Police search worries residents
Helicopters flying over Buffalo Grove Thursday night raised the attention of residents around Trace Drive, leaving them and residents living nearby in Arlington Heights and Prospect Heights wondering if the neighborhood was safe.
Police said the helicopters were called in around 7 p.m. because someone from the area called about a man sought on an out-of-state arrest warrant.
Todd Kupsak, media relations officer for Buffalo Grove, said the man, who was wanted in Michigan for kidnapping, was not found even though an extensive search was conducted with the help of the helicopters and police dogs.
Police said the helicopters were called off around 9 p.m. and the man is believed to have left the area.
