Hudsons start charity for slain family

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson and her sister, Julia Hudson, have established a foundation to benefit families of slain victims.

The sisters said Thursday that the Hudson-King Foundation will honor their mother and brother, who were found shot to death last week. It's also in honor of Julia Hudson's son, who was found shot to death on Monday.

A statement released from Jennifer Hudson's publicist says it's the only charitable foundation the sisters have established in their family's memory.

The Hudsons say it'll provide food, clothing and shelter to relatives of violent crime, as well as grief counseling.

Services for 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, 29-year-old Jason Hudson and 7-year-old Julian King will be held next Monday.
