Art from local seniors on display

The Dundee Township Park District Senior Center is holding its annual Senior Artists Show and Reception at the Dundee Township Park District Senior Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville. The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11 and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12. More than 100 paintings will be on display and most will be priced for sale.

The artists range in age from 56-90 years old. Some of the artists include Bob Larson, Ralph Meyer and Bernice Bradley, all of Elgin and Lillian MacFarlane who is 90 years old and comes from Barrington every Tuesday to participate in the oil painting class.

There will be a raffle for one oil painting. All proceeds will go to the Senior Center.

There is no charge for admission and everyone is welcome.
