Hoffman group to hold benefit toy sale

For the fifth year in a row, a group of caring children put their own toys up for sale to raise money for poor children in Africa. The children and their mothers raised funds to provide for projects for children living in Kenya.

Bright Hope International, an international relief organization headquartered in Hoffman Estates, oversees this project.

This year's toy sale, held Aug. 22 and 23 at St. John's Lutheran School in Algonquin, was sponsored by the Barrington Area Home School Group. More than 50 families donated children's' toys, DVDs and videos for sale at the event.
