10 arrested in online prostitution ring

The Cook County sheriff's office said 10 people have been charged with being part of an online prostitution ring operating in Illinois and Indiana.

Authorities said the ring was organized by four men who advertised the services of nearly a dozen women -- including some in high school -- through the popular Web site Craigslist.

Sheriff Tom Dart said the four ringleaders targeted teenage runaways by providing them with food and shelter in exchange for "their paid sexual favors."

Four men face charges for involuntary servitude for operating the ring. Six women are charged with prostitution.

Sheriff's officials said the juveniles were released without charges.
