Briefs: District 303 to talk money

St. Charles Unit District 303 officials will present methods of paying for about $292 million of potential improvements to the district schools at 7 p.m. tonight at the Charlestowne Mall. Howie Crouse, Senior Financial Advisor at PMA Financial Network, Inc., will explain how school districts are financed and report on the current financial status of District 303. In addition, he will present an analysis of both operational expenditures and facilities costs based on the recent District Facilities Study and feedback from previous Summit 303 meetings. District officials have said there are several options for getting the construction work done without a big impact on residents' wallets.
