Thanks for support of special recreation

Earlier this month the Outback Steakhouse in Bloomingdale opened their doors to the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) for a special luncheon benefiting the agency. As a result of the Outback's generosity, WDSRA raised more than $5,000 to help support the many recreation programs, trips and special events that the agency offers for individuals with special needs.

We thank everyone who attended the event to help make it a success. It is because of your continued support that we are able to provide quality programs to our participants and make a positive impact in their lives. You make it all possible.

Special thanks to Salomon Diaz, manager, and his friendly and attentive staff for their commitment to the community. They kindly volunteered their time on Sept. 19 to cook and serve more than 150 guests. And of course the lunch was as delicious, as always. The Outback partnership has been wonderful for the agency and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the years to come. During the luncheon, Salomon was presented with the WDSRA Foundation's Special Recognition Award for his continued support. Not only has he provided this terrific luncheon opportunity, but he also participated in WDSRA's Jump-A-Thon and helped to raise nearly $1,000 for the agency.
