Bartlett High
• On Thursday through Saturday, Bartlett High School students present the play "The Man Who Came to Dinner" at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and senior citizens.
Larkin High
• On Tuesday, Larkin High School in Elgin will host a combined Orchestra/Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Performing groups will include the Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir, Concert Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra. Tickets will be available the evening of the concert at a cost of $1 for children, students, and seniors, $2 for adults, and a family price of $5.
Abbott Middle
• On Friday, the Fall Dance will be held from 7-9 p.m. at Abbott Middle School in Elgin.
Larsen Middle
• On Friday, Larsen Middle School in Elgin will sponsor a Halloween Activity Night from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Fox Meadow
• Wednesday is Nick's Pizza day. Fox Meadow Elementary School in South Elgin will distribute fliers for this event and everyone who purchases pizza (dine-in and carryout) on this day and presents the flyer, Nick's will donate 15 percent of the proceeds to go to the Sarah Cadle Sarcoma Trust Fund. The school is also accepting gift card donations for the Cadle family. Students and staff have already raised over $1,500 through a bake sale for the family. Coin jars have been set out in each classroom. So far coins collected have totaled almost $1,400.
Harriet Gifford
• On the third Thursday of the month from 3 to 6 p.m., a health clinic for children birth to 18 years of age will be offered at Harriet Gifford Elementary School in Elgin in collaboration with the Greater Elgin Family Care Center. Services provided are: school and sports physicals, shots, care for minor illnesses, lead screening, diabetic screening, and baby exams. Call for an appointment at (847) 608-1344.
Lords Park

Timber Trails
• On Monday through Friday, the Scholastic Book Fair will be held during school hours at Timber Trails Elementary School in Hoffman Estates. It will also be open on Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. during Fall Festival, which will include games, raffles, auctions, and food.
