Bond set in Barrington Hills home invasion
Bond was set at $400,000 today for three men facing charges in a home invasion near Bateman and Lake-Cook roads in Barrington Hills in August.
Authorities say some of the suspects are believed to have been involved in a similar home invasion and robbery in Elgin.
The men are charged in connection with an Aug. 16 home invasion in which police say they entered the Barrington Hills home in the early morning hours through an open basement window, gagged residents who were there and held them at gunpoint before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and electronic equipment.
No one was physically injured in the incident.
Some of the personal property taken has been recovered, authorities said.
