Daily Herald reporter wins award

Daily Herald staff writer Sue Ter Maat won a pair of third-place awards in the 2008 Northern Illinois Newspaper Association contest Friday. Ter Maat was honored in the Best News Story Series category for "Pets in Peril" and in the Best Science/Technology or Medical story for "Easy on the Brain" in the large newspaper circulation category. The annual newspaper contest was held as part of NINA's annual fall conference at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
