Ill. trucker killed in Wisc. crash

BRAZIL, Ind. -- An Illinois truck driver was killed when his semitrailer carrying a load of glass ran off Interstate 70 in western Indiana, striking a cement culvert and a bridge support.

The crash closed the highway's eastbound lanes for several hours.

Indiana State Police say no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened Monday morning about 20 miles east of Terre Haute.

The truck driver has been identified as 48-year-old Ronald Frazier of Nokomis (nuh-KOH'-mihs), Illinois.

State police say his trailer was carrying glass, which spilled onto the roadway and the ditch.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 remained closed more than six hours later as crews cleaned up the broken glass and spilled diesel fuel.
