North Aurora man charged with sexual assault

A North Aurora man was arrested by Aurora police Saturday on three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, police said.

Ronald J. Caron, 41, of the 100 block of Wildwood Drive, was arrested in connection with an incident that occurred at about 7 a.m. Saturday in a home on Aurora's west side.

Caron assaulted a 14 year-old boy who was baby-sitting at the home, according to Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli. Caron was arrested after the victim's parents alerted police.

Police believe that Caron was an acquaintance of the homeowner and did not know the boy.

Caron was taken to the Kane County jail Sunday and released Wednesday after posting bail. He is scheduled to appear Oct. 2 in Kane County court.
