Democrats took the bait on Gov. Palin
John McCain made a clever move in naming Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his choice for the vice presidential nomination.
The only things about which the opposition can criticize her all are applicable to Sen. Obama, only more so.
She is relatively inexperienced, but she has more executive experience than Obama.
She has no foreign relations experience. Neither does the top of the Democratic ticket.
Palin has faced an investigation, but Obama has conducted personal business with Tony Rezko.
The last thing the Democrats should want to talk about is their nominee's greatest weaknesses, but they have taken the bait.
Obama campaign spokesman, Bill Burton, Speaker Pelosi and Senator Schumer all immediately criticized Palin's inexperience, yet she will not occupy the top slot on her party's ticket.
Only Hillary Clinton seems to be awake. She had nothing to say about the governor's experience on the day of the announcement, merely that she disagreed with Palin's policies.
McCain is one clever fellow. Who knew?
