Bartlett officer hurt in scuffle

A 27-year-old Wisconsin man was charged with assaulting a Bartlett police officer while being arrested Sunday at the Cadillac Ranch, 1175 W. Lake St., Bartlett, police said. Eric J. Schilling, of 2101 Norton Ave., Waukesha, was charged with misdemeanor counts of battery, aggravated assault, resisting/obstructing a peace officer and criminal trespass to real property around 3:30 a.m. after he refused to leave the bar, police said. An officer was treated for minor injuries. Schilling has court Nov. 30 in Rolling Meadows.
