New Rosemont hotel now open

The InterContinental Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont opened to the public Friday, Sept. 5.

A grand opening at the hotel at 5300 N. River Road takes place Monday, Sept. 8, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at 11 a.m.

The new 556-room, 12-story luxury hotel is near the Rosemont Theatre.

Portfolio Hotels & Resorts based in Oak Brook manages the property.

The facility features an art gallery, complementing a cultural philosophy that celebrates art and culture throughout the property.

Editions Limited Gallery, an international purveyor of original art and sculptures, is the curator of the hotel's exclusive Museo art gallery.

Commissioned art work by well-known local and International artists, daily champagne tours and a 275-seat live entertainment venue are featured at the hotel as well as three upscale restaurants.
