Worldwide Day of Play: 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, Mundelein Community Center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Free sports-themed event for all ages, with games, contests, sports for parents and kids and special activities for small children. Some activities will be held outdoors. Storm Chasers try outs: 10 a.m. Sept. 27, Sports Zone, 1945 Cornell Ave., Melrose Park. Auditions for the Storm Chasers, the Chicago Storm professional indoor soccer team's dance squad.
