Woman accused of molesting friend's daughter

Authorities say a 30-year-old woman from the Harvey was being held in lieu of $250,000 bond after being accused of having a sexual encounter with a friend's teenage daughter.

The bond for Valencia Robin Sephus was set Friday in Bridgeview by Cook County Circuit Court Judge John Hynes.

Tinley Park Police Commander Phil Valois says the incident occurred several months ago when Sephus visited the Tinley Park apartment of a friend while the friend's 15-year-old daughter was home alone.

Valois says police could not locate Sephus until Thursday, when she was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
