Former Bears linebacker to speak to Noon Rotary

The Noon Rotary of Elgin will host Jim Schwantz, a former Bear linebacker, at noon today at the Villa Olivia Country Club, off Route 20 in Bartlett. All are welcome. For more information, call Jay Curtis at (630) 584-2267.

On Aug. 13, the Noon Rotary Club welcomed the Rev. Jon Hutchison and Alexei Bibik to the club in a recent ceremony. Club president Mike McKay swore the two men in and gave them the Rotary information and club badges.

Bibik is a commercial banker at the Associated Bank, dealing with mid-market clients. He is a former member of the Schiller Park Rotary. He and his wife, Regina, have a 15-month-old son, Nicolas.

Hutchison is senior pastor at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Elgin. He is also a Rotary veteran, belonging to the Rochelle club for six years. There he became a Paul Harris +1 fellow, and was co-chair of membership. He knows that Rotary is a great way to meet people locally and to become involved in local and world-wide assistance to the needy. His wife, Carolyn, is a physician in Rockford, and they have three cats.
