Steel Beam Theatre opens 8th season in St. Charles
Steel Beam Theatre, an award-winning nonprofit theater in downtown St. Charles, opens its eighth season with the hilarious musical revue, "Forbidden Broadway (Greatest Hits)" at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays, through Nov. 2.
Ty Perry of Chicago directs and Michael Frain of Aurora music directs the professional cast of actors including Terry A. Christianson of St. Charles, Stephanie Herman of Roselle, Heather Miller of Arlington Heights, Steve Peebles of Lisle, Christine Pfenninger of Naperville and Peter Sipla of Warrenville.
With the talented cast performing spoofs of Broadway musical numbers you know and love from shows including "Wicked," "Hairspray," "Hello, Dolly" and "Fiddler on the Roof." Created by Gerard Alessandrini, it is the longest running musical comedy in New York.
