FBI seeks help with 'cross-dressing bandit'
He dresses like a churchgoing, God-fearing, prim and proper lady, but federal authorities say the "cross-dressing bandit" is neither proper nor a lady.
At least he wasn't on Aug. 13 when he robbed at gunpoint the MB Financial Bank branch at 1014 Busse Highway in Park Ridge.
On that day, the bandit used his oversize purse, pink and black dress, pink floppy hat and white cloth gloves not for good, but to threaten two employees and a customer, tie them up in a bathroom with plastic zip ties and then make off with a wad of cash.
FBI officials say they're not sure if the man has carried out other robberies, but if he has, it wasn't in drag. They're asking anyone with information on the robbery or the cross-dressing bandit to contact them at (312) 421-6700.
