Cunningham scores 2 to lead FC Dallas past Fire

Jeff Cunningham scored two goals and had an assist Sunday to lead FC Dallas to a 4-1 win over the Chicago Fire.

Andre Rocha sent a freekick into the box, which led to confusion. Cunningham found the loose ball and knocked in the rebound for a 1-0 lead. Cunningham also scored the last goal for Dallas in the 61st minute.

Aaron Pitchkolan and Bruno Guarda scored the other goals for FC Dallas.

Brian McBride scored the lone goal for the Fire in the 90th minute. Justin Mapp crossed the ball into the box. McBride jumped up and headed it into the net.

The Fire hadn't allowed more than two goals in a game since Aug. 22, 2007 -- a 3-2 loss to Kansas City.
