Jerry Reed's death by cigarette smoking

One of the good old boys passed away this month, Jerry Reed - an everyday talent who rose from picking the guitar, to writing popular songs and Hollywood movie fame.

He joins the likes of the "Duke", the "Chairman of the Board", the "Great One" and Mr. "Kool." Yes, John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason, Steve McQueen and Jerry Reed all had one thing in common. It was a cigarette dangling in their hand.

Now, they're all in the promised land together.
