Keep kids safe from goose droppings

I fully agree with letter from Linda Gierlach in Monday's Herald. I wondered what golf courses and playgrounds at schools do. Foxes, dogs, etc. I saw children playing in a field at school the day after I saw it invaded by Canada geese. That can't be healthy.

I saw a solution you may be unaware of. Some local office buildings on Wolf Road in Mount Prospect have "rented" white swans for their ponds in front. Apparently the two are deadly enemies and I never saw a goose in those ponds.

Just wanted to pass it on. It would be worth whatever they have to pay to keep water clean and children safe.
