9 injured in CTA bus accident

Nine people have been injured in an accident involving a Chicago Transit Authority bus on the city's South Side.

Chicago Fire Department spokeswoman Eve Rodriguez says eight people were in stable condition at area hospitals Monday evening, and one person refused treatment.

CTA spokeswoman Katelyn Thrall says the bus driver was among those injured.

Thrall says it appears that two cars got into an accident at the intersection of 63rd and Artesian streets then both struck the bus.
