Palin has foreign policy experience

A Sept. 7 letter by Bryan Thompson said that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had never issued an order to the Alaska National Guard. In the days before Hurricane Gustov actually hit the southern coast of Louisiana, Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana requested from the Alaska National Guard the delivery of one C130 cargo plane and several helicopters with the personnel to man the plane and the helicopters. These supplies and personnel were essential in the evacuation of the city of New Orleans. A C130 cargo plane was needed to help in the evacuation of disabled and bed ridden patients and also patients on life support systems. They went at Palin's orders.

Immediately after Palin became governor, she went to visit the troops from the Alaska National Guard serving in Kuwait. There are pictures of her being cheered by the troops and eating with them in their mess hall. To say that she has no idea of foreign policy and has never been overseas is not true.
