Convention editorial shows political bias

I have long believed that there is serious bias on the part of the Fifth Estate when it comes to reporting politics in general, and the political party conventions in particular, but I am sure of it after reading your lead editorial on Tuesday concerning "Hurricane Gustav, President Bush and the GOP."

The press and the TV pundits had a love fest with the Democrats and Sen. Obama last week. It was just short of a coronation of Barack the Promiser!

Then this week, right out of the box, you take issue with the Republicans for cutting down on their convention activities and showing concern for the Hurricane victims in the Gulf Coast area. If the Republicans had ignored all the suffering, devastation and turmoil down there, you would have jumped all over them for being insensitive, so they were damned either way.

Thus, I have nothing to learn from your newspaper anymore. Please cancel my subscription, I have had enough of your biased reporting.
