Victim of Waukegan shooting identified

A man killed in a Sunday evening shooting in Waukegan has been identified by the Lake County coroner's office.

Stefan Filipovic, 24, of Waukegan died after being taken to the hospital, authorities said.

About 5 p.m. Sunday, Waukegan officers responded to a shooting on the 1500 block of Washington Street. Officers found Filipovic and another victim shot at the scene.

Filipovic died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to autopsy results.

The case is still under investigation.
