Missed running the bases at Wrigley? Makeup date announced
It might come a few weeks later than expected, but children 14 and under who attended the Kane County Cougars game at Wrigley Field on July 29 will be allowed to run the bases at Wrigley following an Aug. 17 high school all-star game.
The Cubs announced that those with tickets to the "Road to Wrigley" game in July would be admitted free to watch the Under Armour All-America Baseball game. After the game, children will be allowed on the field and around the bases.
The Midwest League contest between the Cougars and Peoria Chiefs was called because of rain with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning. The score was tied 6-6 and postgame activities were canceled.
More than 32,000 fans attended the game, which set a MWL attendance record.
