Briefs: See the Allman Brothers

Volunteer for Marklund and see the Allman Brothers Band and Bob Weir and Rat Dog on Thursday at Chicago's Charter One Pavilion for free, including transportation and dinner. Volunteers work in the main concession tent. A portion of the proceeds from the concession stand go to Marklund's programs for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities. Volunteers at this final concert will be entered into a drawing to win their choice of four admission passes to Shedd Aquarium, two admissions to Second City, or a $50 gift card to Wal-Mart. Football on the Web

A live video Webcast of East Aurora vs. West Aurora, Illinois' longest-running high school football rivalry, begins at 7 p.m. Friday. Neal Ormond, the voice of the Blackhawks for 45 years and a member of the West High Sports Hall of Fame, will call the game along with Rick Albright, a West High graduate and longtime teacher and coach. The broadcast of this 116th meeting is a co-production of school districts 129 and 131. Links to the video Webcast will be available at www.sd129.org and www.d131.org. This season West High School will provide live video Webcasts of its home games and live audio-only Webcasts of away games. To listen to the webcast on a computer, you must have Windows Media Player.

Free soccer program

The Salvation Army is offering a free soccer program for boys and girls at the Tri-City Corps Community Center, 1710 S. Seventh Ave., St. Charles. Children in second and third grade meet from 4 to 4:45 p.m. and children in seventh and eighth grade meet from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Sept. 11.
